Biography

Dr. Haiyan “Sally” Xie (PE, CPC, CDT) is currently a full professor at the Department of Technology, Illinois State University (ISU). Prior to joining ISU, she was a full professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) for nine years. She has over five years of industry experience as a project manager. She was the founding director for the Master of Science Program in the Department of Construction Engineering and Management at UALR. Over the years, she has the commitment to providing excellent innovation in course development and deployment of the Department of Technology and raising awareness of collaboration and diversity in the community. Dr. Xie served as chairperson of seven thesis committees for graduate learning and research at ISU. Her professional contribution includes being Consultant for three international companies; a Project Manager for two companies in both the US and China; a Graduate Program Coordinator at UALR; and a Research Assistant at the University of Florida.
